Our Designers

Our designers in The Triangle NC Chapter are unique in their own style and expertise in the design field. IDS recognizes the different levels of designers with the following designations: Professional, Associate, Affiliate & Student. The criteria for each level is listed with the designers for that affiliation. We recommend you contact several designers; or visit their website using the included link. This will allow you to determine which designer will fulfill your specific needs and expectations. Services and Fees may vary depending on the scope of the job and time involved in completing the project. Your individual interior designer will work with you in developing a plan that will best suit your needs and budget.

Persons who either a) successfully complete the Council for Qualification of Residential Interior Designers (CQRID) examination; OR b) hold a valid legal registration in interior design by the state in which the applicants principal office or place of business is located; OR c) hold professional membership in another recognized design association.

Persons with four or more years experience in interior design; OR a combination of education in interior design from an accredited interior design education program and practical interior design experience to equal four or more years.

Persons with less than four years experience in interior design; OR persons in occupations closely allied with interior design in a design-related field (i.e., decorator, educator, specialist, management, retail home furnishings sales, etc.)
